"Anything interesting that provides a new vehicle for exploring the possibilities with paint can be a subject. I work in series, developing ideas within the paintings as I go. I am particularly interested in the rhythm and heartbeat of a painting. I love contrasts and contradictions, which are sometimes amplified within the work.
I enjoy not knowing where a painting is headed, leaving room for experimentation, and letting the paint 'have its head' - for me, this is where creativity resides."
